What is SIS Proxy Access?

SIS Proxy Access empowers an attending student with the ability to provide a parent, legal guardian, or any other desired individual access to selected elements of the attending student's academic records here at the University of Michigan-Flint. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), requires the University of Michigan-Flint make available to parents and/or eligible students their academic records. The SIS Proxy Access User Account is in place to enchance the University's compliance with those regulations.

What is the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)?

For more information about FERPA and the obligations of the University and expectations and protections of attending students please see:

FERPA Authorization for SIS Proxy Access:

Creating an SIS Proxy Access User Account will give the Proxy User access to personal and confidential information that is protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Before you can create a Proxy User account you will need to agree to the FERPA authorization terms.
